On 6 November 2020, Abigail Bradshaw CSC, Head of the Australian Cyber Security Centre, made her inaugural public speech, Cyber Security in Australia – A team sport, hosted by the Institute of Public Administration Australia.

Abi spoke to an in-person and online audience about how government, industry and the community can work together during a time of emerging cyber threats and a global pandemic, to ensure a more secure online world for all Australians.

She also spoke about the history of the ACSC and her priorities on the back of the Government's release in August of the Cyber Security Strategy 2020, as well as the Government’s investment of $1.35 billion in ASD’s Cyber Enhanced Situational Awareness and Response (CESAR) package.

CESAR is not an investment in ASD or the ACSC alone. The operational capability will belong to all Australians, to defend, assist and uplift the cyber resilience of government agencies, Australian businesses and communities.
