ASD endorses ICT training providers to develop and facilitate IRAP New Starter Training. The course was developed to meet ASD IRAP Learning Outcomes.
You have a choice of training providers:
Training providers work closely with ASD and have experience in:
- ICT security
- conducting security assessments of ICT systems, and
- conducting IRAP Assessments.
IRAP New Starter Training and Examination
Before nominating for an IRAP New Starter course with an endorsed training provider, you should conduct a self-assessment (PDF) to ensure you have the necessary skills and experience to complete the course and examination.
Once ASD has assessed your application, suitably-qualified applicants will be issued an interim registration number. This number will be required to enrol in an IRAP New Starter training course.
The IRAP New Starter course assumes participants have a thorough knowledge of and experience in ICT and security assessments. This includes applied experience in Australian Government ICT policy including the:
- Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM)
- Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
The course explains how to utilise these skills and experience to effectively conduct an IRAP Assessment.
