Boards of directors and senior leaders need to understand how newer frontier AI models are reshaping cyber threats. As advances in frontier AI models make it easier for cybercriminals to identify and exploit vulnerabilities, organisations face a growing threat from AI-enabled cyber attacks.

To help boards respond, we have released in partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Frontier AI cyber threat considerations for boards of directors. The publication outlines frontier AI cyber threats and provides practical guidance to help organisations strengthen governance, improve preparedness, and build their cyber security posture.

It includes actions boards can take to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from AI-related cyber security incidents in an increasingly AI-driven threat environment. By understanding these threats and strengthening oversight, organisations can better protect themselves against emerging AI-powered cyber threats.
