Australian Information Security Evaluation Program (AISEP)

Learn how AISEP certifies trusted technology for a secure Australia.

About the program

This program is conducted against the internationally recognised Common Criteria standard, comprising the ISO/IEC 15408 series and ISO/IEC 18045.

The Common Criteria certification process provides assurance that a product:

  • meets the applicable minimum security requirements
  • has been independently evaluated against defined certification criteria
  • performs consistently with the security claims made by the vendor.

Australian organisations are encouraged to give preference to Common Criteria-certified products when making procurement decisions. A list of certified products is available on the Common Criteria Portal.

Organisations considering the use of certified products, or seeking advice about having a product certified, can contact the Australian Certification Authority at aca.certifications@defence.gov.au.

Vendors seeking certification are encouraged to contact an Australian Information Security Evaluation Facility to discuss evaluation requirements and available services.

Further information about the evaluation and certification pathway is available in the AISEP certification process overview.
