The Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD's ACSC) has released new guidance to help you protect your family online.

This advice has become important as kids and young people spend more time online using popular apps, social media and online gaming. While their increased online activity has helped them to learn, share and create like never before, they are also vulnerable to the actions of cybercriminals.

You can protect your family online using step-by-step tools from ASD’s ACSC, including:

  • an easy to follow checklist of these steps
  • recommended cyber security advice for children of each age group
  • cyber security tips for using social media and online gaming
  • what to do if your family has been impacted by a cybercrime.

We are committed to providing guidance to help keep young Australians secure online as cybercriminals target all internet users, no matter their age.

You can stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security alerts for your family by joining the free ASD's ACSC Alert Service.
