Today we join international partners to release an advisory on PRC state-sponsored actors compromising networks worldwide to feed global espionage systems.
These Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) actors are targeting networks globally, including, but not limited to, telecommunications, government, transportation, lodging, and military infrastructure networks. They leverage compromised devices and trusted connections between providers to access networks, often modifying routers to maintain persistent, long-term access to networks. Data stolen through this activity can provide PRC intelligence services with the capability to identify and track their targets’ communications and movements around the world.
The advisory offers vital insights including threat hunting guidance, indicators of compromise, and mitigation strategies to help organisations safeguard their assets and networks from the sophisticated threats.
If you’re a network defender, make sure you have an understanding of this threat and take action now to hunt for any malicious activity on your networks.
