Product Description:

The Belkin HA-5 peripheral sharing devices are secure Keyboard, Video and Mouse (KVM) switches that allow users to share keyboard, video, and mouse peripherals between multiple hosts. Security features include optical isolation of communication paths, USB device authorisation by base class, vendor and device ID, visual and audible alarms for unauthorised device connections, tamper-evident seals, and tamper-responsive components.

The TOE implements self-tests and triggers a secure state on failure detection. The following interfaces are in scope for the evaluation:

  • Illuminated pushbuttons on the Front Panel (FP) to control and provide continuous indications of the selected host.
  • Illuminated pushbuttons on the Remote Control (RC) that repeat functions of the buttons on the FP.
  • Tamper responsive electronics and tamper evident seals.
  • Indicators on the rear of each device to indicate Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) traffic.
  • Indicators on the rear of each device to indicate USB device authorisation or rejection.

Other FP and RC interfaces are out of scope for the evaluation.
