Product Description:
RackTop SHIELD v1.0 is a software-based Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) resident bootloader that facilitates access to encrypted data on Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs). The TOE is software which provides pre-boot authentication and unlocking for Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs). The TOE is responsible for orchestrating the unlocking of hardware-based encryption engines present in TCG-compliant SEDs utilizing FIPS 140-2 or 140-3 validated cryptographic modules. It ensures that storage media remains inaccessible unless proper authorization data is presented in the form of 256-bit keys protected by physical separation from the host system.
