The Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD’s ACSC), in collaboration with the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), has published a new tool, Business Continuity in a Box, to help businesses continue basic operations during or after a cyber incident.

Business Continuity in a Box is an interim solution that businesses can use to swiftly and securely re-establish their critical business functions while restoring their compromised systems. It is designed for businesses who do not have a business continuity plan in place and includes step-by-step instructions to identify and set up an interim solution that best suits your business.

Business Continuity in a Box helps with 2 core business components:

  • continuity of communications – assisting business establish basic communications functionality.
  • continuity of applications – assisting business design and deploy an interim cloud solution for hosting core applications.

We recommend businesses develop a continuity plan that considers their unique requirements and enables them to best respond to a cyber incident. Business Continuity in a Box can assist if you’ve been impacted by a cyber incident and have no continuity plan in place.
